Blaine lectures throughout the state on the ecology of his favorite haunt – the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.  With the help of his camera's eye, Blaine gives the viewer a unique perspective of the Great Swamp's fauna and flora.  He drives home the importance of the swamp's ecological value located within two of the state's most densely populated counties. Using his photography as a backdrop, Blaine constantly strives to redirect people’s preconceptions that New Jersey’s main attractions are oil refineries and pizzerias.  Blaine states, “We have five geo-physiographic provinces, each, holding their own conglomerates of treasured biodiversity.  Our state is rife with habitat types - extensive pinelands, island beaches, large wetland systems, palisades, salt water marshes, endless pasture lands and a water gap bounded by sheer granite cliffs.  The state is a virtual gift from the photography "Gods”.  Blaine has formulated a number of natural history lectures that take you on a photographic journey of many of these special places (refer to services offered).

Blaine has amassed over 10,000 photographs of North American flora and fauna available.
Blaine, his wife Lucy and sons Dillon and Corey reside in Morris County, New Jersey.
Blaine must take the time to thank his web designer Doug for his tireless efforts in creating this site.  Not only is Doug one of his best friends, but he is also my brother – thanks Bro – the salt of the earth has nothing on you!
